Fall 2019

Student-Researchers wrote about a wide range of topics during Fall 2019, including: the January 1960 civil-rights lecture by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; the cartoonist Dick Bibler; Dr. Khosrow Mostofi and his efforts to create the University of Utah Middle East Center; and a 1962 debate on Freedom of the Press.

The students also continued creating a finding aid—an annotated index—of the Chronicle. The student newspaper was launched as a weekly on December 16, 1892. It was then named the University Chronicle. In 1946, the paper became a daily with a new name: the Daily Utah Chronicle.
